Family Intensives
THINGS AT HOME DON’T HAVE TO FEEL THIS HARD
When every conversation turns into an argument, your teen pulls away, or your family keeps falling into the same patterns, you don't have to figure out what to try next on your own.
A focused reset for your family.
Family Intensives are structured, short-term therapy built around focused goals for your family. Over a few weeks, we get underneath the conflict and explore new ways of connecting. There's a beginning, a plan, and an end.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS
1
We have a consultation where we discuss your family goals and what you’re hoping to achieve from a family intensive.
2
I’ll create a custom plan for your family. This will include the duration, frequency, and structure of our sessions, as well as the approach we will take to help your family reach the goals you’ve set.
3
I’ll share the plan with you, and then we’ll get your family booked on the calendar. I’ll be generally accommodating to work with your family’s busy schedules.
Schedule a free consultation to talk about what's happening in your family and whether a family intensive could be a good fit.
A little more about me
-
I use a humanistic approach, understanding that each person has unique qualities and strengths. I like to help clients use these unique qualities and strengths to better understand themselves, their world, and how they can build confidence, self-esteem, and self-efficacy. No matter the struggles we face, no matter the pieces of ourselves that we wish to change, we are enough, and with the right help, we can overcome and persevere.
-
The last couple of years have been rough, and the pandemic has made it harder and harder to connect. I currently offer both teletherapy and in-person counseling at the Boulder Healing Hub.
-
I got my start working in schools, teaching everything from kindergarten to middle school. When I was teaching 4th and 5th graders in Denver, I noticed a huge lack of mental health support for kids, so I went back to school to become a counselor. Even now, working as a high school counselor, I notice that these kids still lack critical support for their mental health, and I’m hoping to do everything I can to help fill that gap.
-
I am a licensed psychotherapist, an LPCC, and a licensed school counselor. I am also a certified specialist in anxiety and stress management, trauma and crisis management, and grief and loss.
