Hi, I’m Matty

I’m a counselor in Boulder, Colorado specializing in therapy for teenagers and young adults. I believe that everyone has the power to shape their life story, find hope and purpose, and navigate the unique challenges they face. My approach to therapy combines two evidence-based approaches, Narrative Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help my clients overcome adversities and build resilience.

I believe that therapy should be a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, validated, and respected. My goal is to create a non-judgmental and compassionate environment where clients can explore their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors without fear of criticism or shame.

A little more about me

As a therapist who specializes in working with teenagers, I understand how important it is for parents to have confidence in the person they entrust with their child's mental health. Adolescence is a challenging time for both teens and parents, and it can be difficult to navigate the emotional and behavioral changes that come with this stage of life. That's why I take a collaborative approach to counseling, working closely with both parents and teens to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and concerns.

I have extensive experience working with teenagers from a variety of backgrounds and with a range of mental health concerns. My therapeutic approach is rooted in narrative and DBT techniques. However, I also recognize that every teenager is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet the specific needs of each individual client.
